Watching movies, thinking cinema
the filmocrat brings together cinema and thought. With essays on film theory and philosophy, curated lists, and reviews of classics and also contemporary films, our driving idea is to elaborate on the gut-feelings sprouted by our experience in cinema. To develop in language - still our sole frail weapon - those gushes of sentiment which flood the mind when watching movies. To combine love of cinema and the urge of talking films - with a little theory in it.
